*So in case you didn’t know Bravo channel reality show Project Runway was set to move to the Lifetime network by next January.
But today a judge granted NBC Universal, (the owner of Bravo), a preliminary injunction stopping the deal. A NBC Universal statement said the company is “pleased that the court granted our motion for a preliminary injunction against the Weinstein company. The overwhelming evidence demonstrated that the Weinstein company violated NBC Universal’s right of of first refusal to future cycles of Project Runway. After hearing all of the evidence, the court issued an order prohibiting the Weinstein company from taking the show or any spinoff to Lifetime.”
While I am happy about this decision, I’m a little worried about the fate of the show. Is it going to stay on Bravo or is it going to finally end up on Lifetime? I’m sorry but I just couldn’t see a show such as Project Runway on a network that airs movies like, “Your sister slept with your husband & then you both find out he’s a mass murderer who goes from town to town seducing sisters.” I just can’t take it! Bravo is a network that has come a long way from boring documentaries to mass audience shows such as The Real Housewives of Orange County & Top Chef. *Sigh* Stay tuned dearies! [via NYT]
*If you don’t know who Sacha Baron Cohen is then you must not have heard of or seen Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, a straight up ridiculous movie!
Anyway, Cohen crashed Milan Fashion Week as a new character, Bruno the gay Austrian fashion-tv presenter, & managed to get backstage with his camera crew at Iceberg. Here’s video of his shenanigans. I cannot believe he did this! Also please note his outfit, which includes a shoe tied to his leg.
His new movie Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male is supposed to come out next year.
